In MJ's prime, nope! Everyone knows Kobe is not as good as Jordan but he's still a franchise player and maybe the Lakers will bounce back in game 2...

I don't know but I can't believe some people want to compare Kobe to MJ.

I remember he had some very bad shooting games in the 1996 Finals vs Seattle so probably he had atleast a few shooting nights similar to that.

Way to encourage a response from the Kobe>Jordan Trolls.

I did hear Marc Jackson say, "Kobe is every bit as good as Jordan on any given night" right before the game started.

Career 41% shooter in the Finals BEFORE this game. Probably under 40% now. He didn't prepare himself for this, instead he was too busy making fake commercials of him jumping over a car. PATHETIC.

That's a dumb statement coming from a former Knick.

went 8-22, 6-19, 5-19 in the Seattle series alone. So yea, he's had even worse shooting nights.

That is not even close to his prime.

And to be honest, it isn't even about shooting %, etc..,,,but so much more. Kobe can't even come close to getting to the hole, Kobe makes bad passes, takes stupid shots.

Comparing the athletic superman MJ to Slo-be,,,,is like comparing Big Brown to Prince Fielder.

nope..
but in 91-92 he had a 10-27 game in the ECF and an 11-26 game in the finals.

EDIT: this doesnt mean that i think kobe>mj i dont think that at all.. im just sayin

and mj still played well on nights when he had bad shooting percentage.
