People will never appreciate Kobe because of this Jordan curse on him.
Second, Kobe falls significantly short now when compared to MJ. Right now, he has neither the individual accomplishments nor the titles nor the stats to rival MJ's so its really just doing him more bad than good comparing them. And its going to take a hell of a lot more from Kobe to be legitimately pinned up against Jordan on the all time list scale.
I love the fact that Kobe is going after MJ. I love the fact that thats the bar hes set for himself. I personally wouldn't have it any other way. Its what I love and will always love about Kobe. That drive, that confidence..no matter how absurd it may sound.
As for winning the title this season, it would put Kobe in my top 9-11 all time, thats about it, but its ok because I see 3-4 titles coming LA's way in the next 6 or so years.
hotsizzle, how do you know for sure that Kobe is going after MJ? I assume he is, but do you have any links to any articles or anything where he actually states he wants to be the best. I believe he does, but again it is just an assumption. I hope he wants to be the best, but can't be 100% sure. What do you think?
