HoopWiz2008 has an OK reputation so far
Default Nellie Wants Yi?

Rumor is circulating that the Warriors may offer Brandan Wright and the 14th pick for Milwaukee's Yi Jianlian. I like Yi and think he'd do great in this system, but thats a tad too much to give up. If they take Wright and a second round pick, then I'm all for it, but Yi is not worth 2 lottery picks. Yi went 6 and Wright was only two picks later. With Harris gone and Hammond running the show now, he may not be that hard headed and willing to clean some of Harris' mess. Yi won't be a favorite of Skiles or his system. I wouldn't even mind the 14th pick and 2nd round pick for Yi while keeping Wright.

Agreed, Wright & 1st rounder are not worth it. Wright got something special. Next season he'll get more playing time and than develop into the post-up player the Warriors need him to be. Unlike Yi, who’s more of a shooter than post-player, although Yi would be great in Nellie’s system.

I'd love to see Yi out of Milwaukee. But I am also anxious to see how Skiles puts Yi to use, I believe he is capable of more than being just a jump shooter that Krystkowiak used him for.
Also, a reason why the Warriors are willing to give up so much or have to give up so much for Yi is probably because of the extra $$ that Yi will bring in from overseas and such.

There is a huge asian population in the bay area, and not a very large one in milwaukie, so financially speaking it would probably be really good for jersey sales and such.

Yi would be huge in the Bay, but I don't want him.

I live in OC now, but I'm originally from south Bay (Los Gatos). One of the huge differences is that there are ALOT more Asians in the Bay. In fact I think Gilroy (if you consider that South Bay) may have the highest per capita Asian population in California.
