Default Michael Wilboun's statement about Game 2 is FOOLISH

now why in the world does he think that the Lakers are done if they go down 2-0?

Was he out of the country when the Heat came back from 0-2 in 2006 Finals? I just wish he stops talking about basketball

It doesn't matter, they will be going to LA for 3 straight games and i'm sure the Lakers can win atleast 2 of them which would force a Game 6

Wilbon does well on PTI, but as a basketball "analyst", he's a disaster. He's been writing about the sport for years, so I have no idea why he sounds so inept in front of the cameras.

Analysts often over-react to each game. It's a good way to hype the next game. Most of those guys are just journalists anyway.

If L.A. loses at least 1 game at home it's all over for them

He's right. LA won't win 4 of 5 against Boston, especially with 2 of them in Boston.

If Boston gets the next one, guaranteed they go back to Boston 3-2.

Defending homecourt for 3 straight games is difficult, the Mavs had the heat on the ropes several time, they just choked. Celts are just mentally better and I see them taking at least one.

Everyone is forgetting that Game 1 was winnable for the lakers. So why wouldn't it be posible to win 4 out of 5??

Winning 3 in a row is very hard in the Finals. Boston has the best defense in the League and 3 all-stars that can explode at any time (not saying LA is a worse team), just seem hard to believe that Boston will lose 3 in a row. Maybe the Lakers aren't done if they go down 0-2 but they sure are in trouble.

exactly. If the lakers win 2, then they would have to beat Boston two times in a row. How is that gonna happen if they couldn't beat Boston even once in Boston? It's not foolish...

Th 2-3-2 format greatly favors the 2.
It is SOOOO hard to win 3 in a row at home. Boston will very likely win one of those 3.

So, if the Lakers go down 0-2, they will likely be heading back to Boston down 2-3, thereby having to win BOTH games in Boston to win the championship.

I agree with Wilbon and I'll take it one step further.

The Winner of Game 2 will win the series.

Book it.

Obviously, nobody wants to go down 0-2 and it is a HUGE game for LA. But it's even bigger for Boston. They lose tomorrow and that means they'll have to do something no team has been able to do in months - beating LA in their building. Game 2 to me is still a MUST WIN for Boston. They lose on Sunday and this series ends in 5. And I'm not saying that because Boston's struggled on the road this postseason. I think LA's just THAT good in their building.

Nuggets were pushovers, Utah struggles on the road all year, and the Spurs actually held lead of 17 and 19... so I wouldn't say they're THAT good.
