With a lineup of Hinrich, Wade, Marion, Haslem/Thomas and a decent center I think the Heat would definitely be heading in the right direction.

Miami has a lot of holes to fill so it will be interesting to see how many of them will be filled. OJ Mayo will be exciting to watch but whether he will be a team player is to be seen. The Bulls scenario sounds interesting though. I think Pat Riley wants to overhaul the team and get as many new players as he could. He's done it before so I couldn't see why not now.

Do that one Pax!!!

Heat roster:

PG: Kirk Hinrich
SG: Wade
SF: Shawn Marion
PF: Haslem/Tyrus Thomas
C: Blount

We still end up with Gordon! I really see greater upside w/Sefolosha over Gordon.

Kirk, Tyrus and someone else for the 2nd pick.

Well who are the Heat going to give up? Miami cannot take on another 14 million in contracts - they'd have to match most of that with players. I'd be all for that, but more than likely they are going to have to give up Shawn Marion in a trade along with the pick because the other team is going to give up a lot to get the player, which is going to pile up contracts - and for the trade to work the other team has to match it. Picks hold no contract value.

Yea but involve blount and/or sign and trade a player who is a FA for Miami and you could make it work. I just think that if Miami wanted a package of good players from the Bulls and the Bulls really wanted the 2 pick, Paxson and Riley could make it happen.

If we were going to trade the number 2 pick to Bulls then i'd think we'd be hearing more about it. Haven't heard anything from anyone.

Considering the Miami Heat haven't even had their workouts for the players - obviously we arn't going to hear much of anything. Chicago's first need was to get a coach, now that is out of the way.

Even then we probably wouldn't hear anything until June 22nd-ish.

We'll see how serious riley is about trading the pick. Nobody knows truly.

I provided a link in the other thread saying Riley wants a proven superstar, and yet you still continued to make these ridiculous trades. Tyrus and Hinrich. Come on man. We'll give you Blount and Haslem in that case for the 1st pick.

We want a Garnett, Lebron, Boozer type player. Not no names like Tyrus Thomas. I find it funny how after further evidence that Riley wants a superstar, your trade offers for our #2pick have gotten worse.

Because Miami has said they will likely trade it away. When you say you want to get rid of something, I don't know if you know this but the value decreases...that case the team trying to get the 2nd pick would have the upper hand because they could just walk away, esp if you have something the other team wants - like a proven point guard in Kirk Hinrich.

And I hope you understand you are not getting a LEBRON F'N JAMES FOR THE 2nd pick. Chicago wouldn't even be able to get a LEBRON F'N JAMES FOR THE 1st pick. I find it funny that you think a pick holds that much value.

Why would a team trade someone who is entering their prime (LeBron, Boozer) for an unproven player? An ALL-STAR for a rookie? Seriously. That is stupid as sh!t. How many times were you dropped on your head.

This is what your saying. Chicago will trade you the #1 pick for Wade...what are you going to say? **** no. LeBron, KG are better than Wade and you have the 2nd pick. Sorry you are an idiot.

Miami fans, sorry to bust your bubbles, but you aren't getting a LaBron or even a Boozer type with that 2nd pick.

How about Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas, Ben Gordon and Luol Deng for the number 2 pick and Shawn Marion?

Heat will have Hinrich, Wade, Deng, Thomas and Ben Gordon. The Heat will get that point guard they've been wanting, they'll get a SF back in Luol Deng who can still develop into a good player, they'll have Tyrus Thomas, Haslem and they'll have more offense off the bench with Ben Gordon. They can sign a a good C and they'd be set. Bulls get Rose, Sefolosha, Marion, Beasley, Noah.
