Oj Mayo should take a program thats not famous in Basketball like USC and take it to the top. He should help recruit some players and make a run for the championship. If he makes it happen he can be a hero and will probably go 1st overall.

Now, now you two.........

North Carolina is a great team/situation for any prospecting player to enter into BUT OJ would be someone I wouldn't like to see there as I think his game on an individual level would not suit the team aspect that the Tarheels have. He will star at whatever college he ends up deciding on and my feeling is that it will be one like USC, that doesn't have any top 10 draft prospects and that would utilize the leadership of OJ straight away.

as much as I would like to see it, I don't think OJ would fit in too well at UNC, like others have said, he would be better at a mid-major program to really lift that school over the top.

Agreed.

Honestly, even as a fan of a program in Illinois that's Top 10-caliber but still nowhere near UNC...I wouldn't want Mayo anywhere near Champaign. Terrific player, but just not worth it.

Plus, unless there isn't a god, we've got a guy coming in '07 in Gordon that's at least as good as O.J., and probably better.

Default OJ a Tar Heel

I am a long time UNC fan and I know how the program works. A player who had great individual talent will not lose a thing. See Jordan. What will happen is that he will flourish in a team environment, win most of his games, challenge for the title and learn to overcome any weakness he might have. NBA scouts love UNC players because they know how to play. The UNC coaching is top notch whether it is Dean Smith or Roy Williams. OJ might have a hard time getting some minutes with the onslaught of great Freshmen they got this year but if he is good enough and some of these players turn pro early, he will be just fine!

I doubt you have seen OJ play. The All American pg you guys got is good but he pails in comparison to OJ. OJ is better than every1 on UNC right now. He was better than them last year.
