Because he averaged 14/9.3 in the 18 games he played with the Bulls, and that was when he was still getting used to playing with new teammates and fighting through an abdominal strain. After an entire offseason of working with the team, getting healthy, and adding Rose (if we do indeed draft him), then I have no doubts he will get 15/10 next season, and might be able to score 20 as the primary post option. Don't forget that he only played 30 minutes/game last season as well. Lamar Odom played 38/game, and their statistics are very comparable. Gooden shoots FGs and FTs slightly better (47%/72% to 46%/71% for their careers) and is a better interior defender, but Odoms ballhandling skills cannot be overlooked. He has a better outside shot, but sometimes falls in love with it. Lamar is also more consistent than Gooden. Drew can have a 30 point game and follow it up with a 5 point game, but Odom will give you double-digits every night.
