Default What do you guys think of Odom?

There is recent rumours that Odom will be moved this off season. What do you guys think of him???? He makes 14 million which end next season so maybe ford, kapono, and the 17th for odom, 58th, and future first rounder...

Calderon
Parker
Odom
Bosh
Bargs

Than possible some minor moves or signing with the MLE for a servicable big.

Odoms averages were 14.2 ppg and 10.6 rpg....but I think his numbers can go up for both points and rebounds on the raptors (no kobe and no rebounder on the raps)

I think he'd be out of our range based on what we have to offer. The only way they would even consider a deal with the Raps is if their GM is really desperate for outside shooting to a point where he'd be giving up the much better talent.

He was just put under unreal expectations IMO. A healthy roster with Bynum and Gasol being focal point inside would make it easier on him as he is not second scorer material. However, 14/10 on 50% shooting would welcomed at least by me with open arms.

Didn't realize 28 year olds were too old for this team.

I would love to have him on our team. Don't listen to all the Laker fans that are constantly bashing him. He's a talented player, I guess he can be inconsistent at times though.....but he does get a lot of rebounds and he can slash to the rim almost at will.

I think he can do well in a raps uniform. I know he kinda struggled in the finals but I have a feeling playing on the raps in the east he can breakout into a potential all star. He would be a solid second option to bosh and although he's not a "rugged" rebounder, he does pull down 10 boards a night.

Having said that I think Ford can also fit in really well with the Lakers. They get the true starting point guard they want. Dishing to Kobe, Pau, and shooters like vujacic and radmonivic can easily net him 10 assists a night.

he is 29 if you want to be picky....

Either way Odom or Maggette aren't going to play any younger with the raps...

I love Odom has a player, he is match-up problem for many at most positions, he handles the ball superbly for 6'10", very good rebounder, slasher and an underrated jump shot.

But I do somethimes question his drive and his attitude sometimes but I don't think those are overly large concerns.

Odom would be a solid addition for sure. Can go huge with him at SF or play faster with him shifting to the 4 and Bosh to the 5.

We don't have assets to get it done though. For whomever commented on the Lakers getting the 'true PG they want'....that's just not the case. They don't want true PGs with the triangle offense. True PGs aren't needed playing for Phil Jackson. Jackson's PG has to be a great 3 pt shooter (hench Fisher) and ideally taller then average, and that is not what TJ Ford is.

A big 3 of Bargnani-Bosh-Odom would be pretty nasty.

Calderon would fit great with the Lakers then.

odom is very talented, very skilled at his height and has great length

the problem is he has too many lapses in judgment on a REGULAR BASIS, and sometimes forgets to turn it on once he steps on the floor. When he puts the effort in, he's dangerous, but when he's passive, he becomes lethargic and a non threat.

Jose is pretty much the definition of a pure PG so I don't think he'd be a good fit at all.
