Detlef had seasons where he did gaudy things like average 19/9.5/6 and won sixth man twice in a row. For 6th man role Detlef > Stevie

I'll take the 2 time MVP for the 6th man and you can have one of the 3 stooges

Αdd Rolando Blackman (from Panama). Also, I think Kiki Vandeweghe was born in Germany and his father (not a great player though) in Canada.

Interestingly, Bob Cousy's parents were French immigrants, the old forward Tom Mescherry was born in China and John Havlicek has Czechoslovakian roots (but is American, nonetheless).

How about Sarunas Marciulionis (sp?) of the early nineties Warriors. Quite a solid scorer whose career was ruined by injuries. Or Predrag/Sasha Danilovic of the Heat. Solid guy too.

Marciulionis was awesome.

Given the right PT, he could have been a sporadic All Star. But the competition was much tougher when he played and euros didn't get enough respect...

Danilovic was a better player in euroball than Marciulionis, but slightly (took more titles). His last four games with the Mavericks (after he was traded from the Heat) he averaged 20 pts. With the right setting and had he played somewhat later in the midst of the whole euro hype, he would have been very good...

Why didn't Sabonis come to the NBA in 1989, instead of going to Spain? The Blazers might've just been unstoppable if he did.

Might have, they would have, IMO:

C - Sabonis
PF - Buck Will
SF - Jerome Kearsey
SG - Glide
PG - Terry P.

6th / 7th men - K-Duck and Uncle Cliff.
