Sonics Offer Wilcox For Marion
11th July, 2006 - 9:22 am
The News Tribune - After the Sonics offered Chris Wilcox a six-year $40 million extension, the discussions to re-sign him stopped.
Wilcox and his agent are seeking a six-year $60 million deal, similar to the one that Nene was offered.
Since then, the Sonics have been contemplating sign-and-trade offer inquiries.
The Suns called to find out Wilcox's asking price and the Sonics asked for Shawn Marion in return.

If they get Wilcox the suns will have no defense at the PF position....but prepare for another 20/7 big man hahahaha
What is the hype over Wilcox? Or is it just the fact he is 6'10 270lbs and athletic? Shawn Marion is way more valuable then Wilcox. Marion is an all star. Hopefully the Suns laughed. Cant see that trade ever going down. Seattle is nuts for raising his value so high.
bench scrub who showed a lot of fight after the trade deadline last year a perennial All Star? I think not. Suns should pay the luxury tax... just pay it...
In Seattle's defense - there is conversation about Marion being tradable, but what they aren't getting is that the reason he is tradable is because he is expensive.
Why would Phoenix trade Marion's massive contract for Wilocx' massive contract.
if the nets would give up jefferson? i remeber traderumours about him.... the nets desperately need size...
for Wilcox? RJ? Man am I missing something cause Wilcox was coming off the bench for the Clippers last year right? Guy is decent but definitely not worth Marion or RJ. Those guys are allstars.
