You can't use a lower pick for someone already picked at higher.

You don't understand. We traded our pick to Utah for their 6th pick. Then Utah picked Deron Williams and Chris Paul was taken at 4. If we kept the pick we would have been able to select Chris Paul or Deron Williams. lol

Suns- we get a big wrecked heap for Marion. Marion was the most important piece. In hindsight, we should have looked to trade Nash and/or Amare for the next season if we failed.

amare can't be traded, if anything suns should focus on building a team around him. he's there best chance of winning a title. last summer, kg was avail for amare, the trade would have been good but that window closed.

You know, it was also reported that you guys had an offer of the #3 and Nick Van Excel for Paul Pierce.

But on the flipside, you guys get Chris Paul or Deron Williams, you may not get Brandon Roy and definitely don't get Greg Oden. I guess either way, it would/will have worked out pretty damn well for you guys.

You could say that for many moves but still it makes you wonder what could have been. for instance, if the celtics never traded billups or joe johnson, they dont go after garnett/allen. good management can overcome an occasional dumb mistake.

its the teams like the hawks where one dumb mistake leads to another one... lets not pick chris paul or deron williams... lets pick shelden williams... lets pick acie law over rodney stuckey... what a bunch of donkeys.

Haha yea who would want to wear a singlet with gay on the back in any english speaking country.

Hawks

Marvin over Paul/Deron is one i have to hear every time i watch a game on LP with the opposing teams announcers. It also shows up in seemingly every national article that mentions the hawks.

Shelden over Roy, Childress over Deng/Iggy hurt too.

Thankfully the moron who made those mistakes is gone but the damage is done.

Sonics signing Jim Macilvain for more than Gary Payton and Kemp, combined. This ultimately led to having to let Kemp go because Kemp asked for more than what their salary cap permitted.

It wasn't even just the salary cap issue. Kemp was pretty offended that the Sonics would pay some tall stiff they intended to play 20 minutes a game more than him.
