We signed Hassell to an offer a couple years ago and the Timberwolves matched it........honestly don't think he's any better than Outlaw - will be pssd if we trade Travis for anything less than an Allstar!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thus far we've drafted Jerryd Bayless and Darrell Arthur! Honestly, We just added two top ten picks, we just solved everything we wanted to solve this offseason in two draft picks because both of these guys are starter worthy and deff NBA ready. Travis will obviously start at the small forward but this will make his move to backup PF in the future a lot more easier. Hopefully Jawai falls to 33 and we pick up Erden at 36. The 55th pick won't make the team so who cares about that pick (Bryce Taylor)
Great draft. I'm pumped about Bayless. I want to keep Arthur though. Sounds like he is gone for Batum who also should be nice, but if Arther's kidneys hold up, he could be a very good talent.
I think we made out like Bandits yet again, for the third draft in a row. If everything goes to plan, Portland is going to take home a championship in a few years.
Europe for a couple of years. I think part of this is so we don't have to give him a contract that will effect next year's cap space. I think that and the roster spot is why we gave up Arther. Though, I was pretty psyched when we drafted Arther so hopefully trading him isn't going to be something we regret.
Kevin Pritchard is a true basketball wizard, this guy knows his stuff.
He turned #13, Jarret Jack, McRoberts and 2nd rounders into Jerryd Bayless and Nicolas Batum, and 4 future 2nd round picks as well. Bayless was projected from 4-7 and in my opinion is the 4th best player in thi years draft. Batum had been a lotto pick off and on, but after his heart issue his stock dropped.
I cant wait to see our summer league team play.
