ESPN Around the Horn Bosh will LEAVE after 2010 !

If anyone watches this show Around the Horn .... the guys were talking about how Bosh will leave Toronto as soon as he can once 2010 comes because he will be a Free agent, they said unless things don't change ( Contender, 2nd - 3rd Round in the playoffs ) Bosh will 100% leave Toronto and play for a contender and possibly want to play with some of his FRIENDS ( prolly doesn't consider Barg, Jose, Defino, Humpz his Friends ) .... this is just what the ESPN show was saying ...... What yall think ????

And their reasons for thinking this are? I'll catch that show when I'm flipping channels sometimes, and those dudes are completely ignorant of most of the facets of basketball. When looking for analysis of a big trade/signing, look to your local media. They know the ins and outs of your team that the national guys have no clue about.

Very rarely in the history of the NBA has a player turned down a MAX deal by his team to sign someplace else. The Raptors will give Bosh a MAX deal, more then he can get with any other team. So we have that on our side.

Although maybe that will change when you see idiots like Redd turning down a max deal from Cleveland to get a max deal from Milwaukee.....just to get that extra year. Gee, play for Milwaukee, or be LBJs running mate? It's a business and guys have to make money....I understand that.

If we can stay competitive, and we offer him the most, Bosh will stay. But, if we suck, then there is always a chance that money won't be the total factor.

However, if we're crap in 2 years, we need to blow it up anyway.....Bosh needs to show he can lead this team to the next level........

With the same team as last year Bosh would've bolted.. but he knows he has a great GM in Colangelo that is working to make this team a legit contender. The only way I see him leaving is if the next couple of years are first round exits, other than that i'm not too worried about it.

NJ just cleared 22 Mill in cap space. They are going to sign LBron to a fair deal cause he is a friend of the rapper. Then CB4 and Dwade are going to take vetern exemption to play in Brooklyn as well. Lbron CB4 and Dwade.

I think Chris is and has proven he is a much more stand up guy that Vince and some of the other players we have had in TO.

I am certain that Chris would be very tempted to play in Texas i.e. Dallas or Houston when his deal is done. Thats his home.

..but if things are going good here.. a series of playoff appearences...a developed plan to continue to be a successful franchise year in year out without having to "blow it all apart" ala Portland, Indiana, etc etc etc . CB 4 will take the best money be happy and play hard.

ESPN has been saying that since Bosh got here nothing new. He know's it takes time to build a contender and this is a step in the right direction. Chris is a smart player and I think wants to be here his entire career. He sees guys like the Celtics this year and how satisfying it is...that it's your team...and you grromed them to finally win a championship. I really think he will be the frist to stay and get his name retired as a Raptor.

1. Bosh may leave, nobody knows yet. He is good enough to be on a contender, but we have a chance this season to make it pretty far.

2. ESPN knows nothing. If you notice, ESPN rarely if ever breaks a news story. They just take stories from newspapers and other sites and claim them as there own.

3. Any time Toronto gets a good American player, ESPN says they are going to leave. If you watch ESPN (not ESPN Via TSN) you would notice they barely if ever cover any Toronto teams, or any Toronto players when they do well. When Bosh went for 30+ with 15 rebounds against Orlando, they literally said "Nobody on Toronto played well, Dwight Howard dominated them like rookies that game". If a Canadian team beats an American team, it's almost never on ESPN. They refuse to talk about it.

They never cover the Raptors unless they are talking bad about them or there players, and they never even mention the leafs of Jays.

Which was true, up until now. But Colangelo is one of the smartest and most ballsy GM's in the league, and he knows enough not to let a mediocre team sit idle while star players get frustrated. And even more importantly, he's shown by trading TJ Ford that he's not afraid to admit when he's made a mistake on a player.

I feel good about the Raptors going forward as far as keeping their star players and being able to lure good free agents.

if youre chris bosh and things stay the same, and youre a free agent and will get the max contract anywhere he goes, why the hell WOULD he stay here.
its common sense, finally BC has given bosh something to work with.
