Default Americans views on Australian football

How many Americans have actually watched an AFL game?

maybe its a cultural thing but how you can find American football more interesting is beyond me.

Aussie rules the game is always always moving and exciting, where as american football is always stopping and starting and the highlights can be narrowed down to about a minute of actuall play.

Hurt your feeling? I'll rephrase my earlier comment. Nobody cares about australians or australian football.

I've never seen a game of it, but I assume it's more like soccer and American football.

Looks like White Party convention broke out into the streets and started playing a wild game of grab ass.

Whatever happened to the Aussies? They used to be tough as hell, now all see is a bunch of poof balls like these clowns.

AFL players are maniacs for playing with no pads. While the violent contact isn't at the level of the NFL (mostly due to having pads and helmets on) it's still significant.

Ausie Football is actually pretty cool to watch. Obviously, I don't see it much, but it is sometimes on TV. It's actually different from Rugby, Soccer, or American Football.

It's probably a cultural thing, but I do like American Football. Obviously I know how to play American Football, while I can only follow Ausie Football. One thing that is great about American Football that people don't get is all the strategy involved. The slow moments also create anticipation for the big play.

If you would like to explain it, I would love to know how to better play Australian Rules Football. Although I'm sure that would be hard to explain without actually watching a game. If you have any questions about American Football, I'll do my best to help you out as well.

Whats wrong with Australians?

I'm not one of those patriotic jerks that is obsessed with my country, so i don't really care, but whats your problem with Aussies?

I didn't start this thread to advertise Australia. I honestly think if you put aside the small shorts (If you ever played youd realise you need to wear them or tights like in NFL, tights look gay as well) you would realise that it is a great game to watch and play.

Those two guys from Europe who toured the world and watched every sport voted it the best in the world...If that means anything.

There are a number of rules. I could answer questions if you had any.

If you have a chance to watch it, you should and tell me what you think.
