Default Albert Pujols Best of Our Time

If you beg to differ or not, who is the best player of consistent caliber throughout the past few years?

EDIT: Last night, An AP 3 homer game!

I agree that he's been very good but nothing gets better than Big Papi aka David Ortiz in the postseason.

Pujols has been better in the playoffs than Ortiz.

Pujols is the best player in the game right now.

Career playoff stats:

Pujols (37 games, 137 AB's): 10 HR, 29 RBI, .336 AVG, .428 OBP, .620 SLG

Ortiz (38 games, 143 AB's): 8 HR, 32 RBI, .301 AVG, .383 OBP, .552 SLG

So let's see, Pujols hits for a higher average, gets on base at a much better rate and hits for WAY more power in the playoffs... oh and this (just in case you want to bring "clutch" into the argument):

I guess I should be the one laughing really hard now...

NL pitching is different from AL pitching...much worse. Yeah lets bring clutch into this...Ortiz is the best clutch hitter of all-time.

Let's see if they have the longevity of a guy like A-Rod. Dude's having a "bad" year with AVG .284 | HR 31 | RBI 104 | OBP .381 | SLG .518

That's 9 seasons in a row with 30+ HR and 100+ RBI (10 overall). 2nd all-time on the list...

Certainly still ranks up there proly next to my man AP. Not only that, but he hits for a good average over the years, and is pretty quick on the bases. Stuggling on defence though, has alot of errors.

You have anything to back this claim with?? Seriously, lets see all the supposed great clutch hitters of all-time and compare them to Ortiz...

He's a great hitter but gimme a break, dude. He wouldn't see half as many good pitches if he didn't have frikken Manny Ramirez hitting behind him.

I hate how the REAL MVP of that team gets so little respect lately...
