Nobody said never. He just said you'd be the #1 pick, meaning you'd likely goto a crappy team. You can still lead your team to a title in the future.. much better than riding on the coattails of a team of veterans on their way to a championship, and you just happened to be there along for the ride

As a guy in the league i'd want the ball in my hands instead of coming off the bench. For a lot of people it's more about playing than winning, especially at that age.

yeas because it's the same ratio. these days a million dollars is not that much and out great country ends up taking a big portion of that in taxes. Athletes are not guaranteed to make the same salary till they're 50-60 so they have to make as much as they can while they can.

You can't put that into a ratio. C'mon now. A guy making 25G/yr working at McDonald's is a low life. How do you connect that with making a mil a year to play basketball?
