Thats more like it
Now that the NBA draft is over we can brace ourselves for a great offseason of free agency and continued trades.
I like many other people last night was watching the NBA draft not expecting the Nuggets to do anything. Until about 10:30 p.m. last night I was watching CBS Sports when they reported that the Nuggets has traded their second round 2009 pick to Chicago for a guy named Sonny Weems, who I have seen play five times in my college basketball watching life. He is a young kid that plays a little point guard, shooting guard, and small forward. He is athletic and can pretty much play anywhere on the court.
Now free agency is on with J.R. talks heating up as well as Najera and Carter stating that they want to stay in Denver if they are offered a contract here. As well as the French phenom Yakhouba Diawara who is testing the free agency market for the first time in his career.
Carter is most likely leaving to teams that need him and have wanted him such as Charlotte and Golden State just to name a few.
Najera has big names teams such as Dallas that wants him to be their energy player of the bench, but wants to stay in Denver not caring how much is offered as long as he stays in Denver
Diawara on the otherhand is waiting for the right contract and playing time on a team.
There are many trade rumors of Hinrich coming to Denver.
Looking at news and rumors Denver seems to be very active since the draft ended and I hope to see more things going on within the organization of trades, free agency, and more.
This is what I have been waiting for since the season ended, lots of activity involving the Nugget!
