I wouldn't say weak it's not like we've had a better one since. Average maybe. You could argue it's the best draft since 03. It was just hard to tell who was going to be the stars out of it.
It's really pretty simple. Quality Centers are viewed as the rarest commodity. So people tend to overestimate the importance of a good center, and overlook the flaws in centers, seeing what they could be.
Note- I'm not saying centers aren't important, just that their impact is easily overlooked.
What about webster, diogu, frye, villanueva, may, vazquez, and korolev being lottery picks? I'm just saying besides Paul and Williams who have been obviously better...Bogut has had the best career of the players who were at the top of everyone's draft boards.
HE basically had 15 points/10 rebounds/ 2 blocks/3 assists on a crappy buck team. If they lose Redd he'll score like 18 points. i can see him being a 20/10/4assist/2block center.
very good college player, led the team to national title didn't he? and was the MVP of that college year or wateva?
but ye he's becoming alot more polished just needs 2 get michael i love shooting every chance i can redd, because he is a very good player now, just look at his stats against some of the teams with the best defence:
when he has the ball more he's alot more effective, and he basically did follow the formula of the bigman in the NBA, start off slow and then develop better, which he is now. i won't be surprised if he gets 18 10 and 2 next season.
when we throw stats around like that, they should be followed with a (w) or (L)
