Kareem Rush (get rid of Willie Green) and James Jones.

2 players who can shoot the 3pt shot. Either or would be nice.

owned.

When J-Smith visited today he supposedly go the ROYAL treatment. Limosine tour of the city, a meeting with the mayor AND an inside look at the wachovia center.

BEST THING:

I was watching comcast and they showed Josh Smith in the Wachovia Center. They turned on the Jumbotron and on it said Josh Smith - #5 - Forward

I also saw that. Saw him talking with Sonny Hill and all. Had his 76ers jersey with name and number in a locker right next to Iggy. Got the Jesus Shuttlesworth recruitment.

I say if Iggy is given a big offer from another team, Ed's gotta work out an aggreement with the team that they will match, but only for a sign and trade scenario. I don't want the sixers to match a huge offer for Iggy, or even offer big money.

I don't feel he's the superstar player on the team that deserves that kind of money. That player is not here yet, so we shouldn't pretend like he is and waste that money and be no better off for it when we're rebuilding in 3-4 years.

We should work Iggy in a sign and trade for SG, and maybe some other pieces. If Golden State was the situation, I'd go for Monta Ellis, Biedrins, and they'd probably have to do something else to make the money match up.

Monta Ellis is younger and definitely not worse than Green, and has a lot more upside. When we do hopefully get the stud SG, Ellis would be a nice compliment in the rotation.

The problem would lie if a team with no good options would offer Iggs big money. More teams would have to be involved if that plan were to work.

Have the Sixers already parted ways with Amundson, Hill and Randolph?

A sign-and-trade should be the last resort. When you do sign-and-trade the salaries only have to match within 50%, not 15%. So in other words if Iggy is signed somewhere to a 13 mil deal and that team has to do a sign and trade to acquire him they only have to give us back 6.5 mil worth of salary. So you're rarely going to get equal value.

We should just off-load Iguodala to free up cap space and start re-building a younger team then in a couple of years move for a big name player.

Sort of like the Nets are doing and the Celtics did.

This is why you're not a GM

If I were GM of the Sixers I sure as hell wouldn't have moved for Chris Webber.

Chris Webber was averaging 21.3 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 5.5 apg, and 1.5 spg at the time of that trade. Billy King gets too much heat for that decision.

We ended up paying $25 million to release him.

Is that money well spent?

Regardless of stats too, he was about to turn 32 when we signed him and has just been coming back from surgery, and not looking quite himself.
