Default Bobcats fan mourning thread

With all the talk about Elton Brand, Baron Davis, and Gil Arenas all being free agents I had to stop back to a deal we made last year to take on extra salary, taking on 3 additional years of Nazr Mohammed for Walter Hermann's expiring contract. We coudl ahve had up to $16 mil in cap space had MJ not made this gem of a deal. Thanks GOAT.

Thats sad. Just imagine a Baron Davis/Jason Richardson/Gerald Wallace/?/Emaka Okafor line up.

The Nazr deal wasn't as bad as it seems. We got rid of Primoz Brezec who was a complete waste of talent. Herrmann had a lot of potential but he was rotting under Vincent's system. He is a FA now, so maybe Higgins can lure him back here for cheap.

Either way, you knew that our cap space would run out eventually. Okafor is a dumbass who couldn't take a 12 million dollar deal when he really didn't deserve it in the first place, now we're scrambling to get a deal for him while still needing a decent backup big.

Sure Sean May and Adam Morrison are coming back from injuries, but that's like getting your boner back after the hooker is gone. Worthless.

Look at the bright side, we can always orchestrate an S&T with guys like Jamaal Tinsley, Nenad Krstic, Jamaal Magloire or Kurt Thomas. Ok, ok, maybe not the best, but it seems that no one on this team is safe right now. Felton, May, Morrison, Harrington, and Anderson are all trade bait right now.

While we're pissed on Nazr for Brezec/Herrmann, let me remind you we passed up May for Kristic and the 17th pick (or something close to that) before last years draft. Stupid? You bet it was.

Seriously, how much is MJ responsible for the smart-not decisions the Bobcats have made? He really proposes and makes most of that stuff go through?

With so much trade bait, I just hope that you guys don't get robbed if a trade goes down (especially one involving Felton, who should be gone but not cheap imo).

On top of Arenas and Davis being top point guards on the market, the drafted an under sized point guard..

Morrison didn't have that bad of a rookie season. He got hurt and now everyone hates on him. I'm from Spokane and i played against him in high school, i can tell you this about Morrison... Every year, he gets better and better, look at his years at Gonzaga. Frosh- 10ppg, Soph- 20 ppg and then around 30ppg his Jr year. Give him a chance, you've only seen his rookie season...
