IN-PAX-WE-TRUST is starting to rub some people the wrong wayIN-PAX-WE-TRUST is starting to rub some people the wrong way
Default Corey Maggette

Corey Maggette just opted out of his deal w/ the Clippers... Should we just let Ben Gordon go and sign Corey Maggette? I think we have enough cap space to give Maggette what he is looking for...

The Clippers don't need Ben Gordon, and they are going to use the cap space created by Maggette opting out to sign Baron Davis and resign Brand, so they wouldn't have any money left to take back Gordon anyway.

what are spurs gonna give him? mid-level? he wants more than that.

And i know this was posted earlier but LAC signing baron basically eliminates a sign and trade of maggette

The Bulls should definatley try to sign him. I don't see why they wouldn't! Knowing the Bulls though they let many oppurtunities slip by.

Derrick Rose, (free agent) Shannon Brown?
Corey Maggette, Thabo Sefolosha, Larry Hughes (hopefully next one gone)
Luol Deng, Andres Nocioni
Drew Gooden, Tyrus Thomas
Joakim Noah, (free agent) Aaron Gray

Than I would let Gordon go along with Hinrich maybe even together, if it were to get something good. It would help if the Bulls got rid of Hughes sooner than later as well. I'm not sure what the plans are for Shannon Brown, but since Rose is a rookie it would help to get an affordable veteran backup point gaurd. Looking for a center with some NBA experience would also make a lot of sense.

Paxson should be active really soon. Well that's what most of us would want, but we'll ultimately get is a mystery.

Angry Re: Corey Maggette

It is said that there are four teams interested in Maggette; Orlando, Miami, Boston and Utah. The Bulls are not even mentioned in contacting him. Are you serious! WTF!

honestly... if the Bulls just stayed put this offseason ( sign Deng) and trade Gordon/HinrichI would be fine... this Bulls team is playing for 2010... not 2009... Paxson's #1 priority should be to clear cap space for 2010 when Rose and Tyrus begin to mature and play at a level that can win some playoff games... in 2010 they will have cap space to sign a big time free agent... right now they have no flexibility b/c of that ****ty ben wallace deal that forced Larry Hughes onto the books...

Sounds good to me....i think with the team we have we are easily playoff contenders...and hopefully with the trade of either ben and/or kirk we can get a guy who will help us go deep in the playoffs. I honestly think we dont have a shot at winning the tittle till like 2010, so why go after free agents now?
