Once again LeBron & Wade have higher percentages because they don't take as many contested 3's as Gilbert does,Wade doesn't even shoot 3's and LeBron doesn't take as many.

Washington didn't play better without Gilbert.

They just played a smoother brand of basketball because unlike LeBron,& Wade's current situations Washington has 2 other players who can create for themselves.

Washington has a better chance to win a Championship with Gilbert than without Gilbert, and that's because neither Caron Butler or Antawn Jamison are consistent 1st options that can win a game for you in the 4th quarter with regularity.

He hasn't.

Its 6 years by the way (new CBA, says thats the max years players can receive, the max he can recieve from anyone but Washignton is 5)

Gilbert hasn't decided anything though, he is still considering taking less from Washington so that they can sign other players. With Arenas, you never know what he is going to do.

For those who are still debating with the ignorant fools who claim that Washington was better without Arenas, just stop. They didn't watch the games, they just took one idea and piggybacked it. They have no real data to back this up, either, Arenas went out only 5? games into the season, for chirsts sake. The last time the Arenas/Jamison/Butler were completely healthy, Arenas was a legit MVP candidate and Washignton was the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference at the all-star break in 06. So, I would suggest ignoring these claims, as I have done.

Beno Udrih looks like Gilbert Arenas sometimes.

Equal trade.

Washington plays better on the court without Gilbert.
Washington isn't a better team without Gilbert.

Somewhat contradictory in the sense but it's just one of those things.

If Sac traded Martin and Miller, or Martin and other fillers (Martin would have to be a requirement with his deal and because he's the team's best young talent), then does that really make the Kings better? I don't think so. Not only is Arenas had problems lately staying healthy, but he's also prone to Kobe-itis where one night he's unbelievable, and the next he's shooting his team out of games. I thought the Kings' plan was to develop youth for a while, and then when they have the cap space in two years, they pair a big name free agent to go along with the developed youth. I just don't get the 'do whatever it takes' attitude, assuming it's true.

Artest and Martin contract wise works... but look at this team.

PG-Arenas
SG-Cisco
C-Miller
PF-Moore
SF-Salmons

Good thing we just resigned Beno for the full midlevel...

I guess "whatever it takes" goes out the window when you can sign a quality pg for a 1/4 of the price of Arenas

I'm confused - so it's a GOOD thing for Arenas to be taking so many contested threes? That's kind of how your statement sounds.

He has a lower field goal percentage because he's a chucker. He has poor shot selection and he looks for his own shot, then his shot, then his shot again before creating for anyone on his team. Not really what I'd want from my "star" player but whatever. I guess Washington wants to stay mediocre.

Wow. Kevin Martin, Beno Udrich, and a 1st?

I dont think thats bad, Arenas is a top 10 player who can take you to the playoffs and now that he has Artest for sure they could be good.

I'll keep calling them the Queens until they win a championship thank you very much.
