Default Why would the Warriors offer Gilbert Arenas 5 years and 101 million but not

offer Baron Davis that same deal? I have no doubt Baron would take that deal too...

cause you would need to be insane to think baron would be healthy 3 years from now, much less five. granted, you could make the same argument about Arenas, but for Baron, it's even more a longshot.

i think Baron is more of a safe bet for more games than Gilbo right now. Arenas has surgically repaired knees... Baron has nothing wrong with him at all.

im bad when it comes to salary cap stuff, but isnt giving 2 players a MAX deal going to cripple you for a LONG time?

the cap is like 56 mill right? so two players making up 80 percent of your cap isnt kinda sucky IMO

GSW have to also give Biendrins/Ellis thier dough.

Becaus Gilbert is 3years younger then Baron. Becaus Gilbert stats is just like Baron's stats (last season for gilbo and this years season for Baron) adding 7points

Right, Golden State really expects to get him for that cheap.

They are dreaming thinking that he isn't going to command at least a starting salary of 7.5M+ a year.

because when you're not winning with 1 super-star you go on to the next 1.

just for the sake of conversation i'm talking

assuming either brand or davis get a max deal (im assuming longterm deals such as the one brand wants is going to be a max if not near max deal)

Baron has said that he wants to return to Golden State, this according to ESPN.

Basically its Baron to the Clipps or Baron staying.. only 2 places he could end up... NYK isn't an option

Yes.

I think Golden State is also trying to do the same thing with Monta Ellis not realizing that both Ellis & Biedrins are 22 and could each get contracts starting at $9 Million or possibly in a Sign&Trade next Offseason.

If Biedrins takes a MLE type offer he must have a horrible agent because a 22 year old athletic C averaging 10/10 in only 27 MPG would definetly be in high demand in the Free Agent market.

If the Knicks bought out Marbury, the path for Baron to sign would be clear...
