that lineup is better than the Blazers at every position but shooting guard.

If Eric Gordon is a bust they would still be decent but if he turns out to be great they will be amazing.

Kaman > Oden?

Why don't wait and see on that.

Not to mention that Portland's bench slaughter's the Clips. Unless your entire starting lineup is playing 42 minutes, I think you'll have problems making the playoffs.

Zane's played in the league already and has done 16/13/2 with 2.8 blocks for a season. Oden is yet to step on a court, and your going to tell me Oden is better then Zane? And our bench won't be as bad as your trying to make it out to be. Face it, if we are to acquire B-Diddy and retain Elton, we will be the superior squad.

Edit: Not to mention we still have Maggette we can dangle and get something in return for.

Oden (Who I think will turn out to be better) scored lower ppg (15.3) in college then Kaman (22.3) but Oden played in a better confrence so its hard to compare them.

1. I never siad Oden was better, learn to read.
2. I said that it was premature of you to claim that Zane was superior when Oden hasn't played yet. It cuts both ways.
3. 16/13/2 is not domination, if you wanted to just compare stat lines.
4. If you are honestly going to go at the bench argument, I'll go at it, but that's about the worst ****ing thing a Clipper fan could do to prove their dominance.
5. You don't have Maggette, especially if you sign Baron/Brand.
6. You can't have Maggette because you don't have the cap space to sign all the players you're looking for. Baron or Brand will eat up your cap space. If you knew anything about the CBA, you'd know that you'll only keep one of those three, two if one of them decides to sign for the MLE.

Your line up will not look like:

Baron Davis
Eric Gordon
Al Thornton
Elton Brand
Chris Kaman

It will look like:

*Trash*
Gordon
Thornton
Brand
Kaman

(With no Maggette)

Or:

Davis
Gordon
Thornton
*Trash*
Kaman

(With no Maggette)

This has nothing to do with being better than Portland, this has to do with you and starface, or whatever his name is, completely ignoring the rules everybody plays by, the CBA, concocting up rediculous scenarios, especially considering you've go the cheapest owner in the league, and vastly pumping up your players who have done well, but not proven themselves against real competition.

The last point can be applied to Portland. Notice that I'm not throwing around how much better Portland will be than Phoenix or Dallas.

Why I even wasted this much time talking about the Clippers is beyond me, because that's exactly what that team is and always will be (despite having some great individual players form time to time): a waste of time.

As of now, Zane IS the better player to Oden. We are talking right at this moment, and Kaman is a proven player who did more then solid in the league already, while Oden is just a massive question mark. Does he have potential? Sure, will he reach it? Most likely, but as of now, Zane is the better player due to him being proven.

And our bench isn't as horrible as your making it out to be, how's that using a bench argument? Mobley and Thomas can still contribute. Jordan will help with his athleticism. Powell and Fazekas can both hold there own for 10-18 minutes a night, Knight is still a solid defensive player who can find people on the offensive end and Ross is a defensive specialist. I don't see how thats "horrible", not to mention, if we get Diddy and keep Elton, we can sign some people for the minimum like the Celtics did with PJ and Sammy.

Plus, we can get something for Maggette before we ink Baron, if we are to go that route and we don't need one of them to sign for the MLE, so you need to learn the CBA, because we wouldn't even have the MLE to the amount of cap space we have. So try again. And you're right, Kaman, Thornton, Brand, Diddy haven't proven themselves against real competition .

I agree Donald Sterling honestly makes me hate the Clippers because he is so cheap.

You can't get something for Maggette because Maggette is a free agent.

Davis opted out of $17+ million. You think he's really gonna settle for less than that?

And what you going to do with Brand wants that as well?

Yes we can because of something called a S&T. Familiar with the CBA or not? Do you think he'll settle for the MLE? Obviously not, and since no teams have enough cap space to acquire Maggette straight up, they have to settle for a S&T. Simple enough.

And I know he did, but check ESPN, he verbally agreed. Thanks.

We have EB's bird rights, so we can offer whatever we want even without sufficient cap space.

After this many years you think your owner is finally going to start paying NBA salaries?

He already is. He gave Thomas the full MLE, gave Mobley his contract, made Dunleavy one of the highest paid coaches in the league, matched offer sheets for Maggette and Brand, traded for Kerry Kittles when he passed on matching Quentin Richardsons offer sheet. One year in the playoffs got him a taste of winning and the extra money, and he may want to get back there.
