Default the 13th man?

someone has to be signed for our roster (pbviously for the leage minimum)

so who will it be

a 3rd string PG?
a big man who can block shots?
another wing player?

who do you want it to be?

who do you think it will be?

will we sign all 3? i would hope we go out and sign 3 young (under 23) players we can use the potential of as our end of bench players

some players that interest me (un restricted)if we can get them for the minimum

tony allen (long shot)
antoine wright
patrick o'bryant
david harrison
kareem rush
quentin ross
kirk snyder
sebastien telfaier
randolph morris
von wafer
linton johnson
paul milsap
mikael gelable
rojer mason jr
jamaal magloire(maybe, bring him home to revive his flagging career)

Most of those guys will be able to find a contract worth more than the league minimum, I would think. How much cap space do we even have?

We are waiting for someone who won't be sign by any team near beginning of preseason and grab em for league min. We have about 1.5mil left in our cap.

we're too close to the luxury tax line to use our mle. i'm not saying we CAN'T use it, just that we WON'T.

i'm hoping we get eddie house.

good vet that can bring the ball up and drill 3's from the PG position...

Looking at the list of names... Paul Milsap really jumps out.. he is probably the guy I would like on the team but i doubt he will make minimum... I think Milsap can be looking for MLE.. or most of MLE.

Therefore, if i was BC, i would look into Quentin Ross, Kirk Snyder and Antoine Wright.. those players have talents..

Paul Millsap would be amazing but I don't think that's going to happen. He's a bit undersized like Hump in terms of height but he would instantly be the 3rd best big on the team and likely to get most of the backup minutes behind Bosh and O'Neal.

tony allen (long shot)
- Meh. Solid and I'd take him but only if really cheap.

antoine wright
- Like Allen, roll the dice if cheap.

patrick o'bryant
- No thanks.

david harrison
- No no no.

kareem rush
- Doesn't do much other than jack up long jumpers. Not a fan.

quentin ross
- Solid player but not much of an improvement over Moon. No point.

kirk snyder
- Supposed to be really dumb. I'll pass.

sebastien telfaier
- Nah.

randolph morris
- For minimum? Sure. But it's not like he'd get any minutes over Bargnani or Humphries.

von wafer
linton johnson
- Both suck and are totally irrelevant.

paul milsap
- Yes please.

mikael gelable
- Sucks.

rojer mason jr
- Not a bad choice. But I'm assuming Roko is the plan at backup PG with possibly some spot minutes at SG.

jamaal magloire(maybe, bring him home to revive his flagging career)
- Magloire is trash.

He was as much of an "all-star" as Antonio Davis when the East was in "we'll take ANY half-competent C to the ASG" mode.

Didn't we use some of that on Ukic and Adams? Also, where would the Calderon contract fit in? Would it affect our MLE at all?

.

Millsap had a team option picked up by Utah, so he isn't available...right?

I have no idea. If he had such an option then surely Utah would keep him.

Is anyone keeping track of who is actually available? I figure the Raptors are done and just going to fill out their roster with minimum salary scrubs so I sure haven't been paying attention.

I'd really hope not, considering we only made our bench thinner on the other hand our starting 5 should be much improved along with the big word that starts with a d. Still, I'd like to see BC work a little more magic and move us closer to contention.
