NBA Teams vs International Teams
So I've been hearing a lot on this board about how Team USA may not be able to take some of the tougher International teams, like Spain and Argentina. This got me thinking.
Team USA's main critisism has been lack of experience and chemistry, and shooting. On the other hand, those are Spain and Argentina's strengths. Now I do think Team USA will end up with the trophy, but those teams will give them a hard time, even though they have some of the best talent in the NBA.
So my question is, who would win in a matchup between the best of the NBA and the best of the International teams?
San Antonio vs Spain
Dallas vs Argentina
Miami vs Argentina
etc.
Which teams would win under the NBA rules, and the FIBA rules? And if most of you think the NBA would take it, how about against some of the more average teams in the League, like the Pacers, the Nuggets, and the Grizzlies?
Personally, I have no clue because I honestly haven't seen some of the better International teams play. Out of instinct, I would say the NBA teams would win, but some of the things I've heard about the better International squads make me think otherwise.
