Default Antonio Anderson, Memphis, 1st Sr to be drafted in 09?

I am a fan of Antonio Anderson's game. Defensive big guard, that can ball-handle. Average 3point shot.

Does he have a chance at being drafted in '09?

What after an 08 draft dominated by early declarations, what other seniors are draft-bound in '09?

I don't think Anderson is a lock to even get picked in the 2nd round, but if he improves his shot I could see him moving way up. I know the comparison isn't perfect, but I see him as a possible guard version of Al Thorton, which means he could move way up. It all depends on his shot, however.

As for the top Seniors, I have Collison at #1 with Hansbrough close behind followed closely by Lester Hudson. Going into the season I think those have to be the top 3 in terms of the draft. I see some other solid potential late 1st guys, but I see a couple guys later on that could really jump up this season.

Not just because I am a UNC fan, but I really like Danny Green. We talk about Anderson, but Green is on that same level, but already has a decent shot. I don't think he ever got his shot to shine at UNC and that will remain the same, but I think in workouts he could be a guy that makes some moves up the draft board.

Another guy is Eric Maynor. Everyone remembers his big shots against Duke, but Maynor has really become a solid PG. He is skinny, but at about 6-2, he isn't undersized in a way that can't be improved. I think he will have a great season this year and should get some looks on All-American teams.

And Posterize will like this, but I think Dionte Christmas could move up pretty far. I'm not sure he can get to #1 because he doesn't have great athletic ability or bulk like CDR or someone similar, but he does have great scoring ability like CDR. Teams love the stronger, more athletic guys like Gordon and Mayo, but there is plenty of room for guys who aren't so strong in the NBA.

If Pat Ewing Jr. and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute got drafted mid-2nd round, I expect Danny Green to get drafted somewhere in the 2nd.

He's a 2nd round pick next year, certainly not a first. But when you've been a 20ppg scorer both your soph and junior years, he's bound to get drafted. Especially with Tyndale leaving. He should average close to 23 ppg this year. Usually happens for Temple scorers getting that high. Check Lynn Greer senior year (23.2ppg)

Yeah AJ redshirted his Freshman year.

McAlarney is a Senior but he'll count as JR for the 2009 NBA Draft because im 100% sure he'll ask for a 5th year due to him being expelled from Notre Dame during his Sophmore year.

Man im from memphis and have watched antonio progress through the years. The guy is at best a good role player on a college team. He will not get drafted.

You can't do that, man. You don't get an extra year of eligibility for being kicked out of school.

He can ask, but he certainly will not receive. I don't believe there is any precedent for that, but if there is, please provide such evidence.

I think I have just realized how many players dont continue to attend college all 4 years. If Sam Young is the number 3 Sr. Prospect then thats bad. he is mediocre and I cant picture him being a contributer in the league. Feel?
