hahaha, what?. Don't get me wrong, Maggette is better than Azubuike and Barnes... but he's not 6 or 7 million per year better than they are. This deal makes absolutely no sense to me. They are commiting to playing Ellis at the PG now. It reeks of a team disappointed with missing on 2 free agents and decided that they were going to sign someone, anyone, no matter what it took.

The guy has been underpaid his whole career, let him be overpaid for once :). But seriously, he's the perfect fit for you guys. Now, if you ink JR Smith like someone said earlier in this thread, you have a team that can really contend for the playoffs in the West

i have no idea why they did this

makes no sense at all.. maggette isn't a superstar so he isn't going to make a difference... with him maybe they win 35 games... without they keep the cap space for 2010' or go after Josh Smith.

worst signing since Ben Wallace

please sign JR Smith, Mullin i BEG of you... rectify your stupid actions

i agree, Maggette is a pretty good fit, but he's a waste of money... get JR Smith and we can start talking maybe winning 40+ games

Talking Re: Maggette has deal with the Warriors

It was a three team trade:

Philly Gets: Brand
Gives: No one

GS gets: Maggette
Gives: Baron Davis

Clippers get: Baron Davis
Gives: Elton Brand, Maggette.

Jr smith would be the worst possible fit next to Monta. He chucks and plays no D or passes.

In the west, no one. Status quo is maintained.

In the east? Philly HUGE winners. 2nd or 3rd best team in the east as of now, IMO.

Philly is better than Orlando, and arguable over Detroit.

Boston
Detroit/Philly
Cleveland
