Get either Rush, Hayes or Evans. I like Delfino, Azubuike and Herrman too, but I never bet on restricted FA's.

Really, Philly has to get at least one of the guys on that list.

If J.R. Smith didn't have problems with his attitude he would be a nice addition to start at SG over Willie Green, unless all you want is strictly 3 point shooting off the bench. Then if they have enough sign a veteran like Barry or Posey for off the bench.

I have to go with on from each list first J.R. Smith who is not only a 3 point shooter but, an unbelievable scorer period. On a good night he can give you 40 points easy off the bench or starting. Second Karrem Rush great shooter from just about anywhere on the court. Mo has also made it known to Ed that he wants two good shooters on the team. So we will see how this will all work out.

JR Smith would be nice. Nevertheless, Sixers can't offer him much money, so even if he signed for Philly, Denver would probably be able to match. And that's in the unlikely scenario where Smith doesn't takes a better offer from another team.

I understand football contracts and negotiations and, salary cap alot more than I do basketball because backetball is alot more complex. Question do you know where we stand currently on our cap situation? I'm not sure with letting Carney and Booth go did that give us just enough to get Brand or do we have some loot left over with that trade if so how much?

If the Sixers can land Gordon, Finley, or Posey then you guys in Philly can get excited and the expectation could be the Eastern Conf Finals to be honest. Posey or Finley are probably the guys to target due to the MLE. Gordon will cost too much $$$.

EVERY SIXERS FAN LOOK HERE

The Sixers DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, have a mid level exception to sign a shooter.

Quote:
But, in any case, a perimeter shooter and/or an additional point guard might have to come at the veterans' minimum. And don't think about the possibility of the Sixers using the mid-level exception: They don't have one. By rule, a team can have money under the cap or the exception, but not both.

http://www.philly.com/dailynews/spor..._ag ents.html

Any money we use to sign a shooter will have to come with what little is left from the Elton Brand signing or through the veteran minimum. Tired of seeing people post ideas of who we can get with MLE. WE DON'T HAVE ONE.

On getting a shooter

"That's something we're definitely going to address," Stefanski said.

I wonder what shooter or shooters we will target i'm not sure how much cash we will have left. It is very vital that we adress that position because it kind of made me think Ed was not going to really jump on getting a shooter at Brand's press conference the way he was talking. I understand that we must get better as a team in the shooting department hell we can't get any worse than we were last year. Still a good shooter or two will stretch the defense and make teams pay for focusing all their attention on Brand and Sammy in the low post.
