Herbert Hill, the 76ers' rookie who missed all of last season after two knee surgeries, was arrested and charged with DUI early Thursday morning in Westchester County, N.Y.
Hill was stopped about 4:30 a.m. by police officer Bryan Tierney, who saw him make an unsafe lane change. His blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.16, twice the legal limit.
Hill was released to friends about 7 a.m., and is due back in Mount Kisco Village Court for a hearing on July 24.
Hill was the 55th overall choice in the 2007 draft by Utah, which traded him to the Sixers for the rights to Kyrylo Fesenko, who had been drafted 38th. He is an unrestricted free agent; the Sixers did not make him a qualifying offer.
