It's quite clear to me that he didn't opt out only because he wanted the money he'd be paid this season. No team was gonna give him a contract at the same rate...or so he thought..

I am 50/50 on getting rid of Odom and acquiring Artest...I personally wouldn't care if it happened and if it didn't.

Odom brings things like versatility and rebounding, Artest brings adequacy at the SF postion in terms of shooting and defense.

At what? Howard is a worse offensive player, rebounder and much worse defender, and he dissapears every post-season. If you can get Artest for Howard you do it 10 times out of 10.

I think Josh Howard had an off year. During his All Star Season he really looked like a stud. He still hasn't reached his full potential yet. Artest is a chemistry killer and i dont think Dirk and Kidd can change that.

Josh Howard is 28 dammit... What potential? No upside left anymore.

I think Sacramento would trade him to the Clippers for a pick and cap relief.

Besides that, obviously the Lakers.

I think he would be a very good addition to Phoenix. They could turn him into a better version of Shawn Marion so it would be like they got Shaq for much less than they gave up.

Also, Dallas, New Orleans, Toronto and Golden State would be good fits as well IMO
