Default Welcome to the new OKC basketball forum

The Seattle Sonics will permanently move to Oklahoma City this summer, for 2008-09 and beyond. The "Sonics" name will likely stay with Seattle, possibly for future use, so the OKC team will reveal their team's new name sometime soon.

The team features last year's rookies Kevin Durant and Jeff Green, and this year's key rookie, guard Russell Westbrook, plus Chris Wilcox, Earl Watson and others.

It's a young, rebuilding team.

This is the new InsideHoops message board for the Oklahoma City pro hoops team.

I was reading an article from another site today and it was talkiing about how the OKC wants Kevin Durant to play at his natural position at SF, but they don't have a decent SG. Damein Wilkens was palying good at the beginning of the season and then things went downhill after that. Then the article was talking about Luke Ridnour being moved because of his contract and how Cleveland, Miami, and Denver still needs a PG. What do y'all think the SG and PG sitaution in OKC?

I think we should have offered Arroyo some money to play Point Guard for us.
We probably couldn't have matched whatever the European team offered him.

But take the idea of an Arroyo type point guard and fill it in here now that we can't have him.

Arroyo/Watson
Westbrook/Wilkins
Green/Durant
Wilcox/White
Collison/Petro/Swift

Maybe Green could play power forward against some teams that have weaker PF's.

They should trade Wilcox and Rindour for a good PF/C.

PF/C Trade Options:

Bogut
Miller
Curry
Vlad Rad
Zach Randolph

Free Agent PG possibilities:
Boykins?
Chris Quinn
Ronald Murray

If Jason Williams can play point guard then him.
