Default PG situation

Seeing that B-Diddy is gone off to the Clips. Does anyone think that Monta Ellis can take over the PG spot for G.S. or do you think the Warriors need to get a PG?

I was on another site reading some nba blogs and one person was talking about the Warriors should go after Marbury if the Knicks were to get rid of him.

Honestly, I thought to myself could that be a good move to get Marbury or a disaster waiting to happen?

PG-Marbury
SG-Ellis
SF-Maggette
PF-Harrington
C-Biedrins

I was reading some articles today from another site and it was talking about how Memphis might be trying to trade one of their PG's.

Kyle Lowry

Mike Conley

Javaris Crittenton.

The Pacers are trying to trade Jamal Tinsley or buy him out of his contract.

You think the Warriors would try to get Tinsley?

I keep reading about how Golden State and Detroit have been talking about either Biedrins or Harrington for Billups. I really don't want to give up Billups for Harrington. It's not that I don't like his game it's just that Detroit already has Maxiell, Johnson, Sheed, and McDyess. I could live with Biedrins since he is a center and Detroit could use that but he hasn't put up the numbers yet. At least he is young with potential. Either way, GS would end up with the better player.

He's not a starter in this league. Remember he was on the Pistons too and he couldn't play there at all.

i dont see a problem with ellis being the pg. You guys run an up-tempo offense so you'll be on fast breaks most of the time. and when you're in a half court offense ellis, jackson, and maggette can all create off the dribble so just pass it to one of them

Warriors would be way better if they would leave Monta at S.G. and pick-up a solid point guard who could create plays.

Monta will do good taking over the pg position, and Marcus will be a great backup.

Monta Ellis and Marcus Williams will have no problem holding down the point guard position.

New York is not planning on buying out Marbury so he can go play in Italy early. Or even try and revive his name in the NBA, and pay him 20 mil to play against them. They are going to let him sit home.

On the other hand. Indiana is plain trying to GIVE away Jamaal Tinsley. When healthy he's a very good player. He started out last season with 15PPG and 8.5 APG. He could be an option if they can't find any other answers.

Problem is he has 3 years @ 6 million left on his contract, and I dont think GS wants to be tied down long term on such a health questionable player.

ok....you guys have Marcus Williams at Point. You dont need any other options. You just got him from Jersey...like you are acting like marcus williams is not an option or something. He's like a steve nash type of point guard. Him and Ellis will be do well, even if marcus started you would have a great point guard trust me

But the question is if Marcus Williams could help the Warriors keep afloat while Monta is out.

I wouldn't mind having Stephon Marbury on the team either... he's a great talent and I'd like to see what he can do for us.
