Eddy Curry has an 11.27mil player option for the 2010/2011. Is there a chance he opts out so we can lure in a big name and resigns for a more realistic amount of money? I doubt it but its something to keep in mind we could save 10mil if he opts out and resigns for a vets minimum

It's not COMPLETELY off the wall question. Though I haven't heard any basketball player do it ever...in baseball a few guys have taken pay cuts (Chipper Jones has done it 2 or 3 times actually) for the better of the team. But their contract situation is different than NBA and I just don't see an NBA player doing that.
