I think Rafer can improve his game a bit more and hopefully will do so. Watchin a lot of Rafer, he can shoot and pass. He still has to take the next step to show everyone he is a legit starting point guard.

When he was healthy, Rafer was a competent starter for us. He wasn't, and won't be, and all star. but he can, and generally does, do what the team needs him to do - give the ball to the right people at the right time, and penatrate a bit. He's competent on D. His outside shot could improve a little I think. Overall, if it hadn't been for injuries (his and the All Stars'), I think last year would have been a good year for him, and barring the same things this year, I'm pretty sure he'll fit in well this season.

Default Skip To My Lou

I cant be mad at him...
if you remember he was always on point with his quotes last year...
He would hustle his azz off... and no matter if he played well or not..
his quotes were never trash talk, and he always say it the way it is.. he was real with himself and the media... I been watching some old and 1 you know the legue where rules and defence dont apply...
and he would even be up on there, spitting knowledge to cats......
trying to get guys on track and to practice, if they want respect....
shht... even on Nba live homeboy hits his jumpers..lol
even though Mike james was way better.. i dont think we should "mike james" rafer

Rafer is good enough to start for some teams but really he's more like a really good backup

A mike james combination would have been nice. But with the aquisition of Shane Battier who can mask rafer's weaknesses, i think he'll be fine. His assists numbers should be up there next season depending on how we implement shane.

I think another thing that would help rafer is to not use him as a spot-up shooter. He never was one. what he can do is collapse a defense with his quickness and dish out now that we have ppl to dish out to now.

if he leaves the scoring up to tmac and yao.... he will be fine... we definately dont need him to be a scoring pg.....because he needs too many shots to put up numbers.... i remember in toronto, the raps had a terrible record when he scored 20+

but yeh, if he plays like a passer, we should be fine

Default rafer

I don't think he will help this team at all........he makes to many mental mistakes and dumb fouls and that is one thing van gundy cannot stand. He does have quickness/slashing and passing ability but I just dont see him fitting in the system for us. I'd would like to see Vassilis and Rafer have at it for that position because the way I saw him play for Greece was pretty dam good. His defense isn't to shabby either. Whats the latest news on bob sura?

Default Skip

skip really needs to improve on his shooting. maybe he was in the slump last season because during most of the season he was the second option on the team. this year i think hes got a lot of compettion to fight for his spot with the addition of vspan who is a strong combo guard. overall he will have the same role. but hes just gotta bring up the FG%

Rafer Rafer Rafer........
....... There Isnt A Work In Webster's Dictionary, That Could Define What Rafer Is To Our Team....
I Think Its Two Words....

Now..... That Being Said.. Illl Make A Thread On How I Think On Our Team.. One Out Of All Our Pf's Should Be Able To Have A Go At The Center Spot, When Called Upon
