I don't know what took so long but today's article in the local papers is saying that Fox is finally willing to consider benching Jake. My question is--are Moore and Feeley/Seeley/whomever strong enough to compete against the other teams or are they just a way to placate the fans until the back-ups, too, fall short of adequacy.
Matt Moore showed flashes of brilliance when he replaced Carr after he replaced Delhomme...but I think that was because team's hadn't had a chance to gameplan for him.
My vote is Feeley. Even though his record as a starter isn't spectacular, we have a better chance to win with him.

Whoever we put in has to work with the ridiculous coaching we have. We threw the ball over 60% of the offensive plays against the Bills who have the worst run defense in the league.
It would work a lot more often if we didn't run the same hand-off each time.
The whole point of the 2-3 receiver set on 3rd down is to make the defense spread out in case we throw the ball. But if we run each time, it totally defeats the purpose.
Since Fox is determined to have Jake start no matter what, maybe we ought to just kiss this season goodbye. Normally I'd be excited to watch todays game but thinking about another potential embarrassment just makes me depressed.
