It nice seeing them keep deng although a 9-10m/yr is more ideal. Chicago is definitely overpaying him. But as long as he continues to improve, it will be an ok deal.
This certainly has a huge effect on ATL and Josh Smith. He will certainly ask for the same if not higher contract.
i would have preferred the 63-66 million dollar range but i guess this is alright considering he is the best player on the team, but it doesnt leave much room for gordon
Gordon is a 6th man and should be paid as such. Even the year we beat Miami in the 1st round we were promptly schooled by the Pistons ...in a large part beacuase of Gordon's defense.
Let's ship him an Nocioni for a 4 or a 5.
I would take Brad Miller for Noce and Gordon.

I agree that we probably overpaid but I am happy to have him back. And while it was expensive, it seems like everyone in the league is getting overpaid now adays so there isn't much you can do
Bulls are STUPID!!!! They are overpaying for a guy that isnt even a leader just a role player. We could have put that money to better use such as Josh Smith. He can shoot open 2's and cut to the basket occasionally. His defense is very suspect. Yeah and whoever said Brad miller for noc and gordon should just kill them self. Ppl keep downing gordon but who do the bulls look to when they need a lift in the 4th quarter. Ughhhhh BEN GORDON!!! Not Luol Deng!!!
That's entirely waaaay 2 much money for Deng; I would've just signed-n-traded 'em to Atlanta for josh smith, or joe johnson and a future 1st-rounder along w/Deng thrown in to ATL for that type of $$$, even though it'd be hard to argue if Smith even deserves that much, or I would've gave'em the qualifying offer n jus traded 'em during the season for the best offer since he would've been on the trade block from day 1; that's probably what they'll do with Gordon, but that Deng signing was another "L" for paxson and reinsdorf considering how they overpaid nocioni the year b4
Bulls management definitely got owned by Deng's camp
I don't think that is that bad. We had to keep him no doubt. He is probably the most consistant player on the team, which is needed. I say let BG go though.
NICE!! Deng is a solid #3 option... now we just need to let Gordon go.. I'm really happy about this signing... we still will have a ton of cap space for 2010... we just need to let Gordon walk and trade Hinrich...

ok people... get this through your head... the Hawks were not going to trade Josh Smith for Deng... jesus.... while we are at it why don't we trade Ben Gordon for Lebron...
