Default Andre Iguodala Wants 6 Years/75 mil

According to Comcast Sportsnet-Philly. Deng and Okafor have driven his price up. That's why I wanted the Sixers to get this deal done before those 2. Supposedly Iguodala's agent, Rob Pelinka, believes that Andre is the 2nd best player of the '04 draft class behind Dwight Howard. I'd like to see him get a Monta Ellis deal.

No way is he worth over 12 mil. But after Deng/Okafor got their big deals, I'd be surprised to see him not get it.

I agree, if Deng can, Iggy can

Iggy is the second or third option on the Sixers, after Brand and Miller.

He is worth 6 years, 75 million is 12.5 million per year.

Sounds reasonable, although I think he will settle for something less than that.

12.5 mil for a player you think is the third option is reasonable?

Damn does this mean we won't have enough to resign both Lou and Dre? I'd hate to see either of them go...

We have enough because we can match all the offers. But we were hoping to give Andre no more than 6 years/66 mil or so. The Bulls and Bobcats messed that up for us.

Well what was our first offer 5 years/57 mil? I suppose this works out the same way just with an extra year/more security for him.

I guess that's the price of getting a guy like Brand, only the Lakers get spoon-fed stars

Actuallly, the Bucks messed it up for everyone with the Bogut deal.

Yeah. That was barely over 11 mil. He's trying to push it to 12.5. Sixers want more in the 6 years/66-68 mil range. So 75 is a little much.

He played a part. But the fact that Okafor/Deng were both in Iggy's draft class hurts. His agent is comparing him to those 2 saying "Hey, they're in his draft class and he's better! And look at what they got!"

But you can't sleep on a young big with potential who is constantly improving (not saying this because he is an Aussie, either).

There are only 4 players in the NBA who averaged a double-double in each of the last 4 seasons: Tim Duncan, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash and Emeka Okafor. Mek deserved his contract.

Bigs are gonna get their money. Somebody already mentioned Bogut. But when Deng, a sf, gets that kind of money then Iggy is going to want more.
