Come on Loki, you're telling me you'd take a prime SG (I know its Jordan) over the most dominant centre ever? Jordan is the greatest player ever, easily, though Shaq's prime is amazing and would have to be the only time you'd consider taking anyone over Jordan.

Saw this video recently, take a look at this:

He was standing next to the rim as well so the angle isn't too misleading. Makes sense too - vert in the mid 30s, let's say 34 inches (Is it actually 36? Not sure) plus his 7 foot+ height = top of his head should be near rim level.
(By the way, ignore the Kobe agenda in that video, couldn't find another one of Shaq's 63 points.)

Are there any better finals numbers out there?

Jesus christ, look at 8:11 on that video. That kind of athleticism just takes a big fat dump all over Wilt the stiff and his scrub contemporaries.

I don't think so. Shaq's 2000 PO's is the greatest performance in the history of basketball. Not just the numbers. Watching the series, he just dominated the way no other player ever has.

'Nuff said. Look at those #'s, the points, the rebounds, the assists, the field goal %, and I'm not even sure of the blocks per game in the Finals. How could you argue against choosing Shaq?

I'm just disappointed that he didn't completely annihilate the record books like he should have.

Only 3 players have changed the game where THE LEAGUE had to actually change the rules (perhaps LeBron or Oden will):
Wilt Chamberlain
Michael Jordan
Shaquille O'neal

Shaq > any player you insert. Whether 1 on 1 or starting a franchise.
