If They Were to Trade Josh Howard

I don't see why they would trade Howard, but if they were to, here are a few options to look at.

Send Howard, Dampier and Terry to the Miami Heat for Shawn Marion, Udonis Haslem and Daquan Cook. This would be the last run for the Mavericks before a dreaded rebuilding process. Their key players are all 30+ now and Marion is a guy that can help them in the playoffs. Marion would be the perfect front court mate of Nowitzki. He's not a guy that will take away any of his shots and will give them rebounding and shot blocking, which is something Dirk can't consistently produce. Terry is 31 years old with 4 years left on a sizeable contract for a backup to Kidd.

Terry, Wade, Howard, Beasley and Dampier would make a nice line up in the East. For the Mavericks:

PG Kidd - Barrea
SG Stackhouse - Cook - Green
SF Marion - Wright
PF Bass - Haslem
C Nowitzki - Diop
