yeah, this teams problem wasn't talent. they didn't run any plays and played with little heart. Just look at that spain argentina game, nocioni was going nuts scola and oberto played their hearts out too.
for these european team the wc is the thing to win and they wait for it all year, while for the US players it's just vacation.

Not to nitpick but Hakeem didn't play on the 1st Dream Team. he became a citizen for the 1996 team.
Even if you want ot say that Barkley and Malone are comparable to 'Melo and Brand - nobody on the current team could touch D.Rob and Ewing in terms of strength, offense, defense, rebounding, experience. Specifically D-Rob who was a freak.
