Default Father - Son Combos

Watching Steph Curry's move on the Birdman the other day got me to thinking that the combo of Dell & Steph is already one of the best in league history -- especially if the kid continues to develop at his current rate.

Other than Jellybean & Kobe, can anyone think of a better father-son combo? You have the Barrys, Bill & Luke Walton, Mike & Mike Jr. Dunleavy, Patrick & Patrick Jr. Ewing, Milt & Dajuan Wagner, and probably a few others I'm missing, but its a pretty short list.

No matter. He did play in the league for a brief spell.

The value of the combo is balancing his small accomplishments with his HOF dad.

I had forgotten about all of these, especially the Bibbys.

Still, I don't see any combo that tops Jellybean-Kobe.

Its close. It really depends on how Kobe ranks after his career is done. If he tops Rick Barry on the all-time list, then it will be Jellybean vs. the Barry kids -- all who were pretty much journeymen.

Ok maybe now I can finally get an answer. Is Lamarcus Aldridge a son or brother of Andre Aldridge? Not only their surnames are the same but they both have very similar shaped heads and some other face features.

JaVale McGee's dad George Montgomery was a 2nd round draft pick of Portland (and his mom played in the WNBA).
