I now feel ashamed that cannonball agreed with my opinion. (even though he didn't really get it.)

it's a joke.

and if I were to pursue a business major, I wouldn't join a company.

I'd create my own...

But honestly it would be a waste of time to do a business major. I'd rather do something else that, I'm sure I can make cash on, and if I decide to start a business than I'll start a business.

I get it. I was assuming that "What You Know" was supposed to be education.

Well isn't pretty clear you have to have to have a lot of knowledge about what you are doing to be successful?

I'm doing a business major myself for various reasons. There is a huge variety of careers you can get into with a business major. I'm entering my junior year next year, therefore just beginning my actual business major: finance. I feel very confident about it and know there are numerous ways I will be successful in it. I am currently leaning towards the high end jobs in Wall Street such as investment banking.

People who tell me they are going to major in business as an undergrad basically tell me: I am not good enough/too lazy to major in math, finance or economics, but I like money.

Well actually by business major I was referring to finance being that business major. It's actually looking to receive double degrees in finance and mathematics.

Yes I'm sure, you obviously aren't aware of the opportunities in business.

Interesting, because there is no undergraduate finance or business major at stanford.

here in balkans, it's definitely who you know that is more important than all other factors of success combined. it isn't even funny how corrupt we are as whole nations.
i like to say that you can't even get decent fruit at the grocery if you don't know the guy who's working.

what you know can get you far. but if you lack charisma you're still gonna be sitting on your ass these days. i've learned this the easy way. i dont try as hard in school as my peers, yet my personality lands me much better job opps, and also helps me gain favor with those in the know. which means that if youve got the personality it will be much easier to get jobs based on who you know. personally i think this is the easiest way to make it big.
