Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James is the NBA's back-to-back reigning Most Valuable Player, and is now generally accepted to be the best player in basketball.

The story of LeBron James free agency is the biggest in the NBA these days. While it's possible he'll remain with the Cavs next season or beyond, teams around the league dream of adding him to their roster.

In order, I consider the Cavaliers, Knicks, Bulls and Heat to be the favorites in the LeBron free agency sweepstakes, with Cleveland being the heavy favorite until there's real reason to think otherwise. The Cavs won more regular season games than anyone in the league, and despite falling short in the NBA Playoffs, LeBron and company have to feel like they're just a minor adjustment or two from getting to the top come post-season.

Below, I will present occasional updates on the LeBron free agent situation. When there's serious news, it'll be both here and on the InsideHoops.com NBA rumors page, but aside from that, updates here will be on the lighter side of things. Enjoy.



May 20 LeBron James free agency update: He's allowing light rays to enter cornea, refracting them through the pupil, to retina, and seeing stuff.

May 19 LeBron free agent update: Earlier, he looked, saw stuff, looked in different direction and the stuff changed.

May 17 LeBron news: He walked around earlier, by moving right foot forward, then left, then repeating entire process.

May 14 LeBron free agency news: He's likely sitting or standing right now. Probably blinking and inhaling oxygen fairly regularly.

May 12: He bounces basketballs, often throws them in various directions, and runs around and stuff.

May 12 LeBron James prediction: LeBron puts up NBA's first 50/50/50 game Thursday, then retires from basketball to pursue true love: ballet.

May 11 unconfirmed rumor: LeBron's right elbow, which skipped the first half, just made out with Lindsay Lohan in a bar.
