I Can't Get Next To You
Papa
Cloud Nine
I will say My Girl is their all-time classic.
Papa might be their 2nd. That or Just My Imagination. Both with the Dennis Edward's version.
Actually glad you mentioned their version of Silent Night.
Why My Girl ages and ages, Silent Night gets played (at least fot the brothers and sisters) from...

If Jokic had a 48% TS series, like Murray just did, I am sure he would get plenty of blame.
What does Murray bring to the game, other than scoring? Jokic routinely leads the team in pts, rebounds and assists.

He did that, that’s the problem. He got teammates into their spots and they missed shots. Mpj missed at least 4 wide open 3’s where he catches the ball in stride into his shot. A floor raiser puts his teammates in their best opportunities to succeed, but at some point they need to hit shots and finish plays. You’re hating on Jokic for 46% fg’s...

It's just a weird happenstance that he hasn't made an All-Star team, his numbers are good enough to be on the All-Star team, he's had three straight seasons of 20 ppg or better and an average of above 24 ppg in the playoffs for his career, that's almost always an all-star in other situations, just a weird thing with the way the Western Conference...

Yup the one thing they have that a lot of "talented young teams" generally don't have is they have a very good defensive bed rock to build their game on.
They have talent + depth + defense. If this team was in a bigger market, they would have a ton more hype but if they keep playing well in the playoffs, they'll get their due.

He was like the 4th best player on his team this series and Towns did a much better job of guarding Jokic than Rudy

Only players I hate are Embiid and Draymond, guys who try to hurt people on purpose. On the flipside… huge Curry fan so I kind of have to suffer Draymond to watch him win- worth it imo. I’ve always been one of the bigger defenders of Embiid and Harden, saying it’s on the nba to stop rewarding flops rather than the other way around; where Embiid...

all i'm saying is jokic seems to have a blame waiver gifted to him by the comissioner himself. under no circumstances is he to blame for a loss. it's always murray's fault. but all W's must be credited to his effort.

idk...same reason other stars (bron, KD, book, etc) have gotten blame for posting up great numbers while losing a series.

This line of thinking doesn't make sense. Why would he get the blame when he averaged, as tontoz said, 29/11/8 on 60%TS against the best defense in the league, how would that make any sense?

Gobert has always been a very limited player that is difficult to build around. I still say Gobert is harder to find a title-winning combination than Mitchell is.
A Center that cannot shoot, pass, or make free throws is a dinosaur in today's league. Most Centers now can do at least 1 of those 3.
It's not a new concept. Mutombo was also...

maybe, but they're a reslient bunch. when they were down by 20, multiple players were upset on the minny bench, KAT got up twice to go into the tunnel then came back. It seemed that they were unraveling at the seams, but they pulled it together and showed up in the 2nd half to win the game in a hostile crowd.

but i thot he made his team better? i thot he raised the floor? i thot he was so dominant that he can drop 40pts while dishing out dimes so his teammates can drop 20 and 30.
you're right about the latter, which is why it frustrates me when they won, he recieved ALL the credit, but everytime they lose he receives none of the culpability, it's...

Minny is more talented than they're given credit for I think.
Ant and KAT are All-Star players and then you have a great defensive player in Rudy, you have the 6th man of the year too, good vet leader in Conley, depth is good, etc. etc.
If this same team was in a "sexier" market like New York, LA, Miami, Chicago, etc. they'd have a ton...

if you want to see the temptation sing ball of confusion and psychedelic shack because they were commercially viable crossovers designed for mass appeal after they wanted to expand past the Motown sound that’s fine. My Girl, Just My Imagination, Ain’t too proud to beg and so on are the key classics. I’d say post David they only did two songs I...

For the series Jokic averaged 29/11/8 with a 60% TS against the best defense in the league. If anything this series solidified Joker's claim as the best in the league.

Jokic forced a game 7 with Murray averaging under 16 ppg on 38% and MPJ averaging 11 on 40%. No other player can do that. There are a handful of peaks in nba history good enough for that. Joker is as individually dominant as they come, if anything the series is just a reminder no one wins by themselves.
