Yeah, if you're always on good teams the plain +/- on the court is going to be decent. Most of Lebron's teams were pretty top heavy not necessarily loaded in depth, so they had problems producing on the court when him and other starters rested.
And this is exactly where you'll always prove to be an idiot. Theres only one kind of person that believes what you just typed here, and honestly that type of person isn't worth having a basketball conversation with. And the term choke is so played out now it doesn't even register because you guys dont use it properly. Losing a game or a series...
I was disappointed that this Big Beautiful Bill did not address a national framework for AI - that means there'll be a patchwork of laws by state. This is especially concerning because Silicon Valley is in California - and who knows what crazy, nutty laws CA will pass? AI is a matter of national security - it should not be left to the states.
...
I think that areas of national security must be encouraged (through tariffs/subsidies) to be manufactured here in the US: antibiotics/drugs, food, computer chips, rare minerals, etc.
As far as other stuff like clothes, toys, trinkets, I think we should again use tariffs for geo-political advantage. Put highest tariffs on China, lower on...
I have no problem with it tbh, Ive seen way too many players shy away from taking a shot at the end of the quarter. It seems a sensible rule tbh even if a little coddled
Exactly. So if the player takes the shot and misses it, it goes to the team. But, if it goes in...........the player gets rewarded for the successful shot, or should that also be rewarded as a 'team' field goal attempt? :confusedshrug:
Make it make sense indeed.
No then it will count for the player. :oldlol:
What they're trying to do is curb the trend of dudes purposely ducking the heave by making it truly "free".
Haha thats too funny.
There are already a lot of guys who are self conscious about their stats and tuck it anyway at the end, shoot it half second after the buzzer like it was an accident. Won't change much.
So, what happens if the shot goes in?
If that's the only shot taken, and it goes in am I 100% from the field or still 0/0 and it counts as 3 for the team?
Make it make sense.
While I agree largely with the premise, it’s for different reasons.
The AI is coming for jobs is wildly overstated at the moment. Much like when Microsoft and the internet came around, there was a drastic shift but we didn’t all of sudden see a cut of people working in the corporate world in half. Secretaries and paper-pushers were just forced...
I'm not sure the NBPA drove this rule change but this kind of rule change would be the only kind of thing they could do about that. They're not going to be able to keep GMs from considering a player's shooting statistics when they come up with a contract offer. I don't think it will make much of a difference but there are a few guys that take a...
AI is coming for a lot of jobs. Entry level jobs, admin jobs, tech jobs, design jobs, media jobs, white collar jobs, etc.
What America is going to need is blue collar workers. Lots of them. Unfortunately I don't think everyone is capable of learning a skilled trade. We're going to need more auto factories, clothes factories... all of it.
I'm guessing it's a combination of both.
I am of two minds. On one hand it provides a solution to a problem, but it's really only a band-aid and doesn't attack the problem at the root cause.
This is why I always laugh at the stat and efficiency dorks. Look at where the obsession with numbers has taken us. You have players outright refusing...
trump does not care about our wildernesses... he thinks golf courses are the wilderness.
they should go into NY and target jewelry clerks that are Latino brands
This seems like something the union should be able to successfully contest isn't a reasonable negotiating tool for owners to use against players, not that I claim to understand the nuances of contract negotiations.
Yeah, Lebron's play in the 2011 finals wasn't because of some insurmountable Mavs defense. Hell, he averaged 28/8/4 55% TS against the Celtics and 26/8/7 57% against the Bulls who were the top ranked defensive teams that year. By all metrics, the Heat had already seen and overcome the best defense they were gonna see before they got to the finals....
Reminds me of a former Wizard Kelly Oubre. Will need to mature, defend, and maintain a higher motor to get consistent contracts. This could etither go the Oubre path or the Portis path (another former Wizard wild child) from here for Whitmore.
As for the logjam, I'm sure Middleton will be a paid mentor for the first half of the year then be...
It's not a major issue but the guys doing the last second heaves want this (Payton Pritchard has spoken up for it) and it's not just about vanity. The ding these shots put on their shooting stats does a small amount of damage to their negotiating position with teams in free agency. I don't want the rule change myself but players wanting this is...
No they just wanted to send him. He is a physically gifted athlete who can shoot, like Melo, but he never passed the ball and his effort on defense wasn't enough. He does seem very immature at times on the court.
