Elgin Baylor was unstoppable until that knee injury in 1964 or 1965. A man with a thousand moves, a facial tic, he had some serious hang-time before that term was even coined.

Nah, they don't like each other.
Kendrick dropped a light diss around 10 years ago naming other rappers, Drake was the only one of those rappers who took it personal. They have been sneak dissing each other in songs for the last decade or so, but Kendrick finally said enough with the passive aggressive shit and let's go to war.
Drake...

Inefficient chucker status.

The deal the Suns should have made was Amare for Garnett.

And more obviously this. I had forgotten Dantoni's exit was that soon after Shaq arrived.

Shaq was like thw square peg they shoved into the round hole there. Dropping a post presence into the 7 seconds or less philosophy probably wasn't an ideal fit. Kinda Ike they made a move for the sake of making a move. Amare had also been on the table by that point but they couldn't get a trade done from what I recall. Also some rumblings about...

Steve Kerr as GM is what happened.
He ran D’antoni out and brought in Terry Porter who was a complete disaster.
Steve Kerr was one of Phoenix’s worst GMs ever. Instead of doing what he did in GS, and expanding upon the trend towards 3 point shooting, spacing, and small ball which Phoenix had revolutionized, he traded for old Shaq.

The more you post the more you verify your deranged mental condition. I've never heard of high pressure open shots, it's an oxymoron and you? A simple moron. Usually, and especially when he was younger Lebron got open looks for guys who couldn't score well on their own, open lanes to easy dunks/alley oops for bigs off pnr. This method took several...

I know this isn’t straight up sanctioned competition but I’ve been to plenty of BJJ gyms where you’ll see women and men rolling together. Obviously most of the time dudes aren’t going full strength and body slamming chicks, but you’ll often see a complete beginner white belt man start to get frustrated with the skills of a trained higher ranking...

Yeah, but any smart coach would recognize that a hopeless lunge does nothing, and youre better off just standing there, staring the shooter down

This dude gonna Play six more years on some Tom Brady shit. I don’t think he can let go of the spotlight. If he doesn’t find another vehicle to be right in everyone’s face, he won’t retire. Maybe Amazon offers to let him lead their studio show and he retires to do that thinking he can shape narratives as what he(and nobody else) will consider an...

I actually do agree about not rushing at the shooter and leaving them open, I think being that wide open is unnatural, throws off your rhythm, and adds more pressure to the attempt, no different than an easy fly ball in baseball or being a wide open receiver in football. I just think it's far too instinctual for these guys to try to alter a shot...

Amar'e played maybe the best ball of his career when they first got Shaq in the second half of 2007-08. Like 30/10 on 55-60% FG over the last 30-40+ games. At least from a box score perspective.

I can't think of an exact precedent to follow as a guideline. I'm going to say throwing a basketball isn't as bad as charging into the stands and beating up the wrong guy but Artest being heated is more understandable, he just effed up beating on an innocent man. I don't care if the punishment is excessive as I'm not a fan of Beverley but if I was...

Its pretty weird to have 2 lottery seasons inbetween 2 conference finals (07 was the defacto WCF anyway) with the same roster basically + Shaq.
Was Shaq that much of a detriment?
Any deeper takes on it?
Now the 08-09 West changed quite a bit from 07, it was a lot deeper, but its still odd.

no I did not realize that
anyway, if 80m/4yr was really what was expected, hats off to the knicks for paying 100m/4 and still getting one of the best bargains in the league... I'm still surprised that they managed to sign Brunson to an amazing contract instead of doing what the knicks usually do and getting locked in to paying...

You really dont think the Cavs can beat the Knicks? The cavs are lightyears better defensively than the 76ers (especially on the perimeter), and on paper its hard to find a single matchup where the knicks have a clear advantage. The only obvious reason I can see why the Cavs cant beat the Knicks is because in order to play the Knicks they have...

Brunson was expected to ask for a pay cut? Because he is currently getting 25m/yr... 80 over 4 is like Dillon Brooks or Deandre Hunter money

Brunson is definitely easily the best Knick since Ewing.
For both of them, they contribute more than their stats.
Brunson is a true leader.
