Team records are always much better at home because players perform much better at home - Jaren jackson showed this kind of home boost in 2023 when he won DPOY and so did prior DPOY's - so there's no evidence the stats were inflated in prior eras.. Teams and players simply perform much better at home and always have..
Btw, the lower overall...

This should be a lesson about judging new players by modern standards while not doing the same with the old. Having the same standards across the board avoids such embarrassments.

Jordan stans so sensitive in 2024. If you read the piece you get a whole train of thought of how it got to Mjs dpoy season. It also goes out of its way to say this was a behavior of the time. Validating a theory isn't a hit piece, it's historical research. If it was Lebron in question you wouldn't give a shit if it was "peer reciewed"

Only MJ had high steals and blocks, so his overall "stocks" inflation at home was a little higher than the norm

No, you average it out. Tell me when last he won a game in Boston. Explain how he went on a 10 game losing streak vs the Celtics playing alongside Durant and Doncic. You talk a ton of crap about Tatum's playoffs performance but act like it's nothing when Irving shoots 3 for 17 from 3 in Boston. Including hitting none in the first two games. He...

You came in talking about him getting cabriolet and issues with the media. You clearly has no idea what you were talking about and still don't. A player can be bothered by more than one thing. Sorry to blow your mind.

Don’t get it twisted, this article is not your average article/documentary. It’s a hit piece written to question an award won by the GOAT in an effort to tear him down and prop up Lebron. And yes, the article is an equivalent to a non-peer reviewed study.

dismissing a 3rd franchise who gave Twolves 24-14 regularly is a cardinal sin.
Bron - Kyrie duo needed that 3rd superstar to run their offense.

After the ball is deflected and your teammate gains control... the teammate just defined "gathers the loose ball" which would be the same as if the opponent grabbed the loose ball if you dribbled it off your foot.

You are welcome!
I am predicting there is a huge NBA PEDs scandal coming out once 2-3 years after LBJ retirement around 2027-2028.
They are just kicking can down the road to save NBA and LBJs Legacy.
But this is coming.......there are just too many 'influencers' and pod casts hosts on it.

I don't understand this at all, I've always thought that the player who ended up with the ball got the steal. Not fair? Maybe, but those were the rules I understood growing up. Getting a hand on a pass is a deflection, not a steal.

All players experience higher stocks at home, but MJ was the only DPOY on the list with high blocks AND steals, so his bounce was higher than the other 1-dimensional DPOY's on the list... See the chart above that shows Alvin Robertson with equal bounce in...
