Uh oh. Bringing up Curry in a thread that has nothing to do with him? You should go see your medical professional immediately. You are showing symptoms of PCTSD.

Lol what? Dwight Howard was a great player and no one called him a great passer.

Steppedonshit FUMING as usual. Bron in great position to get number 5, meanwhile Curry can’t even make the 9th seed.

LeBron's durability is the number one reason he is still productive. LeBron won 66 games with role players that year? Less impressive when you remember Dwight won 59 games with role players that year then beat LeBron in the playoffs with them.
LeBron had Wade and Bosh. The Heatles are the closest thing to an all-time team LeBron is...

They are better with Pippen obviously but they are still a good playoff team capable of making a deep playoff run without him. I wish you could have just seen them play to understand that because your out of context advanced stats wont tell you how good a team they were back then.

Not being known for passing is not the same as not being good at it. Every great basketball player ever has been great at passing. It’s a huge part of the game..
Some are better than others of course.
Of non PGs Bird is the GOAT. Bron isn’t too far behind. Duncan was amazing.
As were Mike and Kobe

literally made it clear that i was talking about defense. you would've already picked up on it if you watched pippen play that year.
the blazers were simply better with pippen - and the numbers bear that out. what exactly don't you get?

They gave up 126 points to a Lakers team missing Kuzma, Schroder, Davis and Lebron.
Is that not in line with how bad Nets defense has looked before Durant went down with hamstring injury.

Love how you basically lied and then shrug it off. How many posters here call "All Defense" guys "all nba"?
Pippen with the bad back, slower and past his prime is worth the hype? I dont get it?

A guy questioning the leadership of a player that led the team with the wins record in the regular season and then another in the playoffs and has been to the finals five straight times with the same team. Who's supposed to be a better leader in NBA history? Maybe Russell. I'm drawing a blank aside from that. Who you got?

now that you know i'm talking about defense, do you have anything else to add? do you even have a point? :confusedshrug:

Still Atrocious Defensively. He can score, but his leadership and defense are both questionable.

He can score. And LeBron's basketball IQ is the no.1 reason why he is still productive at 36. Cavaliers won 66 games with a bunch of role players in 2009. If LeBron had a stacked team like Bird in his Cavaliers days the Cavs would have been multiple champions. Imagine a Mchale and LeBron duo. He doesn't need Parish and DJ.

If you call someone "all nba" do you really expect them to be thinking about defense?

he was all-nba on defense in 99 AND 2000. what about that makes him "mythical"?

LeBron is a terrific stat padder, we all know this. We also know putting up points is something awards voters love. Fact remains that despite having double the productive years of Bird, LeBron and innumerable reshuffles of teammates he hasn't led a team to 67 wins like Bird did. Bird's Celtics will always be in discussions of being the best team...

Pippen is such a mythical player that even his past prime bad back and much slower versions are getting insanely hyped up.
I know he was Mvp caliber at his peak but this is too much lol.

of course grant was. but he was on the team inferior to the one pippen made better - a year later. look at the teams function. their numbers went up across the board.
i could see that. pippen had a resurgent year in 2000. dude was really unhappy in houston. the back and forth feud with barkley was hilarious though :oldlol:

Pippen is a great player. Can you imagine if Pippen joins the 2000 Utah Jazz?? it would have been the Lakers vs. Jazz in the Conference. Finals.

Irving got destroyed by Dennis Shroder of all people hahahaha and Dennis even triggered Irving to get ejected hahaha imagine what hall of famer Rondo would do to him in playoffs? Put the clamps down. Rondo holding teams to 85 rated offense so far.

Calling Grant a high impact player doesnt mean i think he had a higher impact than Pippen. Brian Grant was a pretty good player in his own right if you actually watched him play back then.

that's exactly what it is. you're assuming grant had similar impact and could "replace" him. yet pippen was the player who took his minutes away :oldlol:

Lebron have more points than Kawhi, Green and Curry combined in the regular season. Lebron have more MVP's, and More finals MVP's than Bird.

Those are hardly what ifs lol. Grant had 30+ mins the year prior and those got reduced to 20 with Pip's arrival. Take away Scottie and Grant is getting a lot of those mins back.

Bird accomplished about the same as James in half the time. James's only advantage is that he was able to enter the NBA earlier and durable enough to last longer in it to stat pad more.

Blazers without Pip already beat a better/younger version of this Jazz team the prior year so its not hard to imagine they could have done it again without the help of Scottie.
