His whining to the refs does get tiresome. There was one game recently when he didn't gripe at all to the officials, but that didn't last.

Yeah how about just swap Luka and Ant?
That team 4-peats.

Lot riding on mah boy Luka, but I'm done with that whole black/white agenda, so who cares.
Really though, Luka can be pretty insufferable if he doesn't play hard. If you play hard, you can complain, but if you don't play hard, you're just a whiner.

Imagine this team:
Conley
Luka
McDaniels
Dirk
Gobert
Bench: Slomo, Naz, NAW, etc...

Yeah something happened because his defense changed pretty drastically.
You were pretty extreme with the trolling though. You made rmwg look like a Luka fanboy.

Luka needed some tough love, that's all. Kidd or whoever got through. It's like Moses telling Barkley that he was fat and lazy.
Don't know who got through, maybe just having better players helps, but clearly he's changed his attitude on defense a lot.

What I've seen through the years is that he doesn't have an elite handle, similar to Lebron, so the longer he takes to make a move, the less effective it's going to be.

I remember that, thinking it was odd considering the way you were trolling Luka earlier in the season.

People forget when Iggy came to the Warriors he was cast away player averaging like 7ppg with them. Same with Tyson Chandler, Shawn Marion, and Jason Kidd on Dallas.
PJ, DJJ, and Gafford are arguably Dallas top 3 defenders and they were relative nobodies to start this year. It's much easier to replace defense than top tier superstar offense.

Luka and Dirk are both so much better on offense that they'll offset particularly Tatum's defense, which isn't that great. Dirk beat KG plenty of times.
A more interesting one is Luka/KG and Tatum/Dirk, in that case, would Luka be able to co-exist with KG who liked to take his time operating in the high post, just like Porzingis.

I wouldn't be surprised if this game is done in 5 for Mavs with some luck, but more realistically, 6 games.
I hope the NBA leans into Luka and doesn't try to force Tatum. Even Stephen A. Smith is on Team Luka. Allen Iverson is on Team Luka.
Someone, maybe Barkley, said that we're not there yet, but almost where some black kid is wearing a...

4 wins away from 30-to-1 winnings.
Didn't put down nearly enough because I'm poor, but I did tell you guys and my friends and I'll win enough for a nice vacation.

It's a little early to ask the question because we don't know if Tatum will dominate these Finals at a high level and then win again with the great team chemistry that he's developed over many years.. If Tatum proves to have this caliber of offensive dominance as he enters his peak years, then I would take Tatum plus a very rich man's Pippen in...

Not anymore no. He definitely was bad, but not anymore.
He is actually a good defender now, particularly in the high post/low post area.
If someone think they can take him on 1-on-1, he'll very often poke the ball away or move right in front of their drive, just from anticipation.
He's vulnerable outside the 3 point line, but that's not...

He might, but most of their best defenders are typically already on the floor in clutch time. I hadn't really paid attention to their late game substitutions.
Whether they do or not doesn't change the fact that you were wrong saying their defense is better when he isn't playing. You just made it up and then doubled down on stupid which is...

Well Tatum has one of the deepest 2 way teams in NBA history. They can win it all even if he plays mediocre. If they lose however, it's squarely on his shoulders

So were Gilbert Arenas and Nikola Jokic. Who cares? Aside from your dumb ass of course. Having defensively weak starts creates a flaw that can be exploited.

Julius Erving - 1983 (?)
Paul Pierce - 2007
Tim Duncan - 2014
Wilt Chamberlain - 1972
Kyrie is up there for sure, but he's "only" a pure scorer.
Someone like Drexler was an elite scorer for his time, but also an elite defender, rebounder and passer. When traded he was All-NBA 3rd team and got MVP votes, which is about...

He is off the floor 10 minutes per game in the games he plays, and he missed 12 games. That's over a thousand minutes without Luka on the floor and in those minutes their defense was worse.
Your anecdotal nonsense doesn't mean anything.

A Tatum/KG duo wouldn’t need an offensive superstar. Get them and big man, one really good shooter of a 3rd option, and some solid role guys and they’d be very very tough.

I should be reading more carefully. I'll concede that. But it also shows that Doncic is almost always on the floor so a team stat like net defense isn't going to mean much. When Dallas needs a stop he sits. If the Celtics him in Brown JB will be winning mvp of the finals.

Sheed doesn't understand spacing of this era and the effect that Steph can have. That 04 team isn't beating the 15 or (healthy) 16 Warriors, let alone 17 with KD there. They would have gotten worked.

Congrats, there is one lineup that doesn't have Doncic listed.
The bad news is that teams shot 51.9% against that lineup.
